Hi my name is Ileana Reyna and welcome to my ePortfolio. This is a showcase of my graduate school coursework and projects, although I plan to include some personal projects in the future. 

 

My life revolves around my family. My husband and I have a beautifully intelligent four-year-old son. Our favorite activity to do together is going to South Padre Island and relaxing on the beach. The beach is my happy place. I've been going there since I was a little girl and plan on making many more memories there.

I have been teaching since 2008. All but one of those years has been spent teaching elementary. In 2018, I became a Dyslexia Teacher for McAllen ISD and it, by far, has been my favorite teaching position yet. In July of 2022, I began pursuing a CALT (Certified Academic Language Therapist) 2-year certification, which will help me develop the skills to better serve my students with dyslexia.
