Applied Digital Learning

The Growth of a Learner's Mindset

As I reflect on my learning journey throughout the ADL program, I not only think about the innovation project my colleagues and I worked on, but all the emotions we experienced. At times, it was emotionally draining, but in completing my assignments and reflecting on them as I finished, I realize that through all the frustration and setbacks, I WAS LEARNING. I have learned more in the past year than I have in the past ten. I plan to continue to learn and challenge myself more every day and will encourage others to do the same.

Take a look at my reflections below to read about the learning I experienced this past year.

CSLE+COVA Reflection

Creating a significant learning environment (CSLE) and giving my students choice, ownership, and voice through authentic learning opportunities (COVA) is what's going to keep them motivated to learn, teach them how to learn, and create lifelong, self-directed learners.

I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to be immersed in learning this way. It has prepared me to be able to offer this kind of learning to my students and colleagues.

Innovation Project Update

My colleagues and I have been able to pilot the station rotation model of blended learning in our own classrooms, but haven’t formally presented it to our colleagues just yet. We've had a few setbacks, but we're not letting them stop us.

My ADL Journey

As I come to the end of my ADL journey, I feel so grateful for the learning I immersed myself in this year. Because of the ADL Program, I now consider myself a self-directed lifelong digital learner. This ePortfolio encompasses my ADL journey, so take a look around and please contact me with any questions or collaboration opportunities.
